66-fan case mod exemplifies overkill →
Filed under: Desktops We’ve seen some pretty questionable case mods involving additional fans, but this one will likely hold top honors until something even more extravagant comes around. The “Super Cooler” straps a grand total of 66 fans around the tower, which probably doesn’t do a whole lot of good when all’s said and done. Truth be told, we’ve all ideas...

Creed Thoughts →
I lose my glasses all the time. It drives me nuts. I’ve tried all the gadgets – neck-straps, RecSpecs, etc. – but nothing seems to work. So this week, I’m trying something new. I’m going to take a little crazy glue and glue the bridge of my glasses to the bridge of my nose. That way, I’ll never lose my glasses again. Also, they won’t slip down my nose, which is my second biggest pet peeve about...

Filed under: Gaming, Peripherals Merely days after we caught Wolfking’s astonishingly bizarre gaming keyboard lurking in the FCC’s database, it seems that the firm is giving the pup a proper (and we mean proper) name. Just as Elmo would attest, things just seem a little more hardcore with any variant of “extreme” in the title, and the Warrior Xxtreme goes the xxtra mile...

Filed under: Misc. Gadgets We’ve certainly seen plenty of book scanners before, but upstart Atiz has now rolled out what it claims to be the very first “consumer book ripper,” although with a price of $1,595, that title is certainly ripe for a challenge. Still, it looks like the system should get the paper-to-PDF conversion job done quite nicely, with a promised scanning rate...

Another Cautionary Tale
Yeah, look, I picked this image to re-use so that I could do something Halloween-themed, but this is what happened instead. Make of that what you will. (via Oliver’s shared items in Google Reader)
